Need to send a survey out to parents / pupils? Try this site
http://www.surveymonkey.com/. It's free and it's easy.
Here's an
online tutorial.
What about setting up a page on
http://www.shape-it.org/. It's free to Merthyr and RCT schools. Teachers can attend a free 2 hour training session, if they take materials for a front page with them it could be finished within that time, but you can always work on the pages from school. It's not meant to replace your website and it will contain a link to your school website. It just gives you a greater prescence in the community. There's also going to be an option to upload your video clips to a moderated area which will be free of charge so keep an eye on the site. Contact Clare or Cerys directly on
07791 715681 or
07800 708767 or email
info@shape-it.org.

‘Make IT Happen 2008’ calls on schools to use technology to describe how they would change an aspect of their local community for the better. Schools are encouraged to focus on an issue they really care about, such as tackling bullying or littering, helping to improve the local environment or supporting their community.

EBP
Teachers can speak to their Work Related Education (WRE) co-ordinator and or Work Experience Co-ordinator back in their school to discuss how the current work related activities that the school is currently involved with can be integrated into IT – this will help to ensure that the WRE activities currently being delivered are as cross curricular as possible. Schools can also contact EBP at 01656 672969 or 01443 824280 and arrange to meet with the school to discuss specific projects that we may work on together.
